The club indoor track & field team recently competed in the OATCCC Indoor Track & Field State Championship at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Four athletes earned All-Ohio honors for their performances:
Katie Engle '19- 5th place in 800 meters - 2:18.13
MacKenzie Palinski '21 - 5th place in weight throw - 42-09.25 feet
Karah Henderson '22- 5th place in 60-meter hurdles - 9.13
Tyler Clark '19- 7th place in 3200 meters - 9:48.31
Additional outstanding Lancer performances included:
4x400 Relay - Katie Engle '19, Karah Henderson '22, Kaleigh McNamara '22, Nina Padanilam '22 - 12th place - 4:23.37
4x800 Relay - Bryson Simpson '20, Cole Durdella '20, Connor Gerspacher '19, Garrett Tomasek '20 - 12th Place - 8:51.67
Tim Diemer '19 - 16th Place - 800 meters - 2:12
This was the finale of the club indoor track & field season. Now the Lancer athletes will begin officially competing in varsity track & field. The team's first meet is the Bill Dodd Invitational scheduled for March 30 at Byers Field in Parma.
