Gilmour Academy football head coach Chris Kosiorek was tabbed with leading the East All Stars for the 47th Annual Greater Cleveland Football Coaches Association (GCFCA) East-West High School All-Star Scholarship Football Game. This year, the annual showcase of senior talent was sponsored by the Cleveland Browns and University Hospitals and was played at Baldwin Wallace University on June 7.  Coach Kosiorek was not the only Lancer to take the field as he was joined by Gilmour's Michael Cerer '19CJ Charleston '19 and Ryan Gondek '19. Fellow Lancer Jack Krebs '19 was also selected to compete in the game, but had to opt out of playing because of the Lancer baseball team's participation in the OHSAA Division II State Final Four, in which the team earned a runner-up finish.

Kosiorek and the East All Stars earned a 23-8 win against the players from the West. Charleston scored the first touchdown of the night on a 35-yard reception. He totaled three catches in the game. Cerer had several tackles, including two behind the line of scrimmage, while Gondek started at RT guard and helped lead the offense to its 23 points.

Charleston signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent to play football at Division I Youngstown State University. Gondek made a commitment to Division III Allegheny College to play football. Cerer is still considering his collegiate options, but is expected to make a decision soon. All three have one more opportunity to play together as they compete in the News-Herald Senior Bowl scheduled to be played on June 14 at 7 p.m. at Mayfield High School.
