One game separates the Varsity A hockey team from a bid to the Frozen Four or the conclusion of their season. The Lancers take on University School tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the OHSAA Division I District Final, which will be played at the Kent State University Ice Arena. Presale tickets are available in the Lancer Athletic Department for $7 until 4 p.m. today. All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets on campus early to avoid the lines or a possible sellout at KSU.

The Lancers earned a trip to the district championship after beating Mentor in a thrilling, 2-1 overtime game this past Saturday. Gilmour opened the game with a goal by Dylan Wharton '19 (pictured on the left) just 48 seconds into play. Evan Enrich '19 was credited with the assist. Then after being tied at the end of regulation, the Lancers stepped up in the sudden death OT period. Vince Stafford '22 (pictured on the right), scored his first career varsity goal with 1:15 left on the clock with an assist by Wharton. Jac Lymn '20 was in net and stopped 35-of-36 shots for the win. Gilmour outshot Mentor 48-36.

Here is a look at the complete tournament bracket.
