The Middle School baseball team finished its season with two wins, keeping its unbeaten streak intact at 9-0-1. In its final two victories, Gilmour worked through a 3-0 deficit in the fifth inning and eventually defeated a very competitive Andrews Osborne. The Lancer bats came to life in the bottom of the fifth, scoring two runs on a timely bunt by Kevin Flaherty '24 (pictured on the right) and a single by Chad Plucinsky '23. Then in the sixth inning, a few key walks followed by clutch hits from Dean Stephens '23 and Thomas Popovich '25 sparked a five-run rally that led to a 7-3 victory. Troy Domen '24 started the game pitching and Deaglan Bryant '23 came in for relief and shut down Andrews in a fine performance.

In the second game of the week, the team's final game of the season, Gilmour made a dominant showing with a run-rule win against Memorial Junior High. Bryant had a complete game on the mound, giving up just one earned run and two hits while striking out 10. Trevor Weltle '24 (pictured on the left) made two great catches. Marcus Berrios '23 and Nick Lasecki '23 were excellent behind the plate, as both threw out runners attempting to steal. Bryant, Plucinsky and Lucas Perusek '23 led the offense.

For the season, the Lancers scored a total of 95 runs and held their opponents to only 19 runs, showing their great pitching, defensive and offensive skills.
