The varsity football team faced some tough competition on the road this past week, taking on undefeated Rootstown High School. Unfortunately for Gilmour, the Rovers continued their winning streak, shutting out the Lancers 32-0. Marco Costabile '20 (pictured on the left) led the team with 12 tackles and a caused fumble as Aidan Muchnicki '20 had 11 tackles. Rocco Hice '23 added nine tackles and Will Lazzaro '23 had a sack. Both Jimmy McCrone '21 (pictured on the right) and Kevan Pack '20 recovered a fumble.

The Lancers look to bounce back this week as they host John Adams High School in the Homecoming game on Saturday, Sept. 28. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. at Weber Stadium.
