Recently, the North Coast League (NCL) Awards, as well as the News-Herald All-Stars and All-Ohio honors were announced and several members of the Lancer football team were recognized. The highest honor in the state, All-Ohio Division V, went to three Gilmour players, including punter Connor Krebs '20 and defensive back Aidan Muchnicki '20 as First Team selections and wide receiver Nate Reichard '20 as a Third Team pick. 

 

"Connor did an outstanding job punting the ball this year and finished the season with a very impressive 35-yard average," said Gilmour head coach Chris Kosiorek.

 

"Aidan was a force all year. He led the team in tackles and led the area in interceptions with eight," said Kosiorek. "As for Reichard, he was a threat all season and led the team in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns. We will miss all three tremendously next season given the impact they had on offense, defense and special teams."

 

In the conference, Gilmour players accounted for 10 of the NCL White Division honors selected. Krebs and Muchnicki made First Team, along with Marco Costabile '20 and Josh Miavitz '20. Four Lancers earned Second Team honors, including Reichard, Christian Fowlkes '20, Mick Hopkins '22 and Jimmy McCrone '21. At the Honorable Mention level, Charlie Snelling '23 and Michael Snelling '21 were recognized.

 

It was great to have a third of our team represented in the conference honors this season," said Kosiorek. "The 10 young men all played very well and each had an impact throughout the league."

 

For the News-Herald All Stars, the honors are bestowed to all divisions in the newspaper's coverage area, which pits the Lancers against some stiff higher-level competition. Gilmour had a total of six players recognized with Krebs and Muchnicki as Second Team honorees; and Costabile, Fowlkes, Miavitz and Reichard as Honorable Mention selections.  

 

"I'm very proud of all of these young men," said Kosiorek, "Their recognition among the area's best was well deserved."
