The varsity boys basketball season came to a halt as the second-seeded Lancers were upset in an OHSAA Division II Stow District sectional final game by number seven-seeded Aurora, 89-84. CJ Charleston '19 finished out his phenomenal career with a terrific offensive performance, scoring 30 points on four 3-point field goals, to go along with five assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block. Ryan Coan '19 completed his final game with two 3-pointers, three rebounds and one assist. Another big contributor was Garrett Olsen '20, who scored a career-high 18 points, coupled with four rebounds and three assists. Kyle Culler '21 came off the bench to add nine points.

After the tournament loss, it became official that Charleston set a school record for points in a season with 574, which was good for a team-best 25 points-per-game average. Charleston is also the all-time leading scorer in program history with 1,654 points. Connor O'Toole '20 set the single-season 3-pointers-made mark with 83 and tied the assists-in-a-game record with 10 in an earlier loss to Holy Name. The Lancers set a school record for points-per-game with an average of 79.3 points per game, as well as team 3-pointers made in a season with 250. Gilmour finished with a record of 17-6 overall and 8-2 in the North Coast League (NCL).
