The varsity boys golf team began its postseason journey this past week by competing in the OHSAA Division III Sectional Tournament at Pine Hills Golf Course in Hinckley. The team earned the sectional championship after recording a team score of 323. The Lancers outshot 12 other teams and were a total of 29 strokes better than second-place Wellington. Gilmour was led by Liam Ottaway '21 (77) and Alex Swinarski '22 (80) who finished first and second overall. Harry Rogers '22 (82) and Jack Popovich '22 (84) also contributed solid performances to help the team shoot its lowest team score in the past two years. By winning the sectional tournament, the Lancers automatically advance to the district tournament and will compete for a chance to qualify for the state tournament.
