Varsity A Hockey: Coach Malloy Among All-Time Winningest Coaches

At the conclusion of the 2018-2019 hockey season, the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) updated its record books and one of Gilmour's own moved into the second spot among the winningest coaches. John Malloy, coach of the Varsity A Lancer hockey team, moved up a spot to number two for varsity career wins among Ohio coaches. As a varsity head coach, he has recorded a total of 637 victories.

Malloy's varsity career started at Cleveland Heights High School in 1991. He then moved on to Rocky River High School in 1996 before landing at Gilmour Academy in 2004. 

This past season, the Lancers amassed a record of 31-5-2, taking Malloy's overall record as a varsity head coach to 637-343-38.
