The boys prep hockey team competes in the Mid-Am District tournament this weekend at OBM Arena in Strongsville, Ohio. The Mid-Am District Tournament is comprised of the best hockey teams form a five-state district, including Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana and Western Pennsylvania. The Lancers lost to the Pittsburgh Pens Elite 18-U AAA 3-4 Thursday night. Friday, they play the Cleveland Barons 18-U AAA at 6 p.m. and the Pittsburgh Esmark Stars 18-U AAA on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. If Gilmour wins these next two games, they have a chance to advance to the championship game on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. The district champion then advances to the USA Hockey Tier 18-U National Tournament in Grand Rapids, Mich. from April 3-8.
