In its only game of the week, the varsity boys soccer team was able to make history as the first team to play a game on the newly renovated turf at Weber Stadium. The Lancers welcomed St. Andrews College, an all-boys college-preparatory school from Ontario, Canada to take the new pitch on September 7. The Saints roster boasts players from all over the world, including Germany, Finland, Thailand, China and Mexico. The game was officially a scrimmage for both teams with the guests finishing with a 4-0 advantage. Lancer keeper Matt Beck had several difficult saves in the match and was praised by the opposing coach for his extraordinary efforts in net. The junior varsity teams squared off on the upper grass field and lost by a score of 5-1. Alex Young scored the lone goal for Gilmour.
