This past weekend, the girls prep hockey team played three games at home, including two against the Niagara Purple Eagles and one against the Armstrong Arrows.

In the first game against the Purple Eagles, Gilmour won 3-1. Ani Fitzgerald '19 (pictured on the right) scored twice, assisted by Shannon Traynor '21 (pictured on the left) and Kiya Vincent '19. Gretchen Klens '19 also scored on an assist from Fitzgerald.

Game two against the Purple Eagles was a close one with the Lancers falling just short by a score of 3-2. Maura McKeown '19and Fitzgerald recorded a goal each. In the final home game of the weekend, the Lancers played well, but just couldn't find the back of the net as the game ended in a tie against the Arrows.

This weekend the team is again at home and will be playing in the Mid-Am District Playoffs. The Lancers take on Culver Academy Friday at 9:20 p.m. followed by the Pittsburgh Pens Elite at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Best of luck to the Lancers!
