The girls prep hockey team traveled to Detroit for the Detroit Elite Girls Invitational Tournament, which included the very best 19U Tier 1 teams in all of the United States. The Lancers drew a very tough schedule in the round robin with games against Belle Tire (Mich.), Dallas Stars Elite (Texas), Honey Baked (Mich.) and Meijer (Mich.), all of which are ranked as some of the very top teams in North America. Gilmour fought hard all weekend with impressive games against Belle Tire and Dallas, dropping each game by a score of 2-0. While the Lancers always set out to win, these were still considered very impressive outcomes for the team according to head coach Seanna Conway.

The very fast and talented Belle Tire team went on to win the entire tournament. Standout weekends were recorded by goaltenders Kristiana Apsite PG (pictured on left) and Hope Crisafi '20 (pictured on right), who were busy in net all weekend.

The Gilmour 16U girls team also traveled to Detroit for the 16U division of this tournament, where it finished 2-2 with impressive wins against Pittsburgh Pens Elite (Pa.) and Dallas Stars (Texas). The 16U team dropped close games to Selects Academy (Conn.) and Team Illinois (Ill.). Standout weekends came from Alaina Giampietro '22, Julija Blazinsek '21 and goalie Alayna Breivogel '21.
