The varsity girls lacrosse team (2-9) recently won its second game of the season, defeating Westlake High School 11-9. Five different Lancers scored in the victory with Molly Boyle '21 (pictured on the right) leading the offense with a team-best three goals. Grace Belden '20Ellie Heller '19Meaghan Stack '21 and Megan Whalen '20 (pictured on the left) had two goals each. Boyle and Whalen also led the team with two assists apiece. Ground ball controls were recorded by Heller with five as Mira Soukenik '19 and Quinn Hartmetz '21 each totaled two. Boyle rounded out her outstanding performance with a team-high six ball controls with Heller adding two. Overall it was a total team effort as the Lancers exhibited strong passing and catching.

Gilmour then took on Chardon on the road. Despite cold and rainy conditions, the Lancers played well and made it a very close contest, losing 12-9. Head coach Erin Song was pleased with the effort and sees the team making progress. She is especially proud of the on-field communication and how the defense is seeing more connections on the field.
