The varsity girls soccer team went 2-0 this past week with shutout victories against Holy Name and Bay. The Lancers totaled 11 goals without giving up a single score as goalkeepers Kaitlin Grady '20 (pictured on the left) and Kendra Barlow '20 (pictured on the right) split time and turned in outstanding performances. Defensively, Gilmour's back line is getting better in defending opponent counters, while offensively the Lancers are creating a lot of chances on goal by utilizing the abilities of Sophia Garofalo '21 and Molly Boyle '21 to be able to switch the point of attack.

The Gilmour coaching staff is pleased with the quality of soccer the team is currently playing, but expects the players to get even better as the season progresses.
