Girls Soccer: Lancers Tally Two Ties

It was a three-game week for the varsity girls soccer team, which earned two ties and a loss. The Lancers started the week on the road against Chagrin Falls High School. Gilmour goals were scored by Cooper Flowers '22 (pictured on the right) and Molly Boyle '21 with assists from Allie Breen '20 and Emma Adams '21 (pictured on the left) as the final score remained knotted at two. Kaitlyn Grady '20 had five saves in the game and Kendra Barlow '20 had one. The Lancers then lost on the road to Walsh Jesuit before finishing out the week with its first home game of the season on the new turf in Weber Stadium. Gilmour hosted Hathaway Brown and came from behind to end in a 2-2 tie. Adams had one goal on an assist by Julia Pangonis '21 before assisting on a goal by Abby Minello '22. Barlow made five saves on the afternoon.
 
At the junior varsity level, the Lancers lost on the road to Chagrin Falls and Walsh Jesuit before returning home to finish out the week with a 1-1 tie vs. Hathaway Brown.
