Anton Trifonovs is in his second season as the head coach of the Gilmour Academy varsity girls soccer team with the 2020-21 school year. His commitment to the sport is evident in his body of work which includes an extensive playing and coaching career, as well as his procurement of a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) ‘A’ License and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advanced National GK Diploma.

As a player, he has represented the Latvian Youth National Team (2000-04) in such events as the U17, U19 and U20 Euro Championships, FIFA World Cup and Olympics. He played for FC Skonto (2001-02), FK Ventspils (2003-04), FC TVMK (2005-07) and FK Riga (2008-09) before playing for Lakeland Community College (2010-11) and earning National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Academic All-America honors.  

He has since gone on to expand his coaching resume to include serving as an assistant at his alma mater Lakeland for the men’s soccer program (2011-14), as well as the head coach of the Hawken School varsity girls soccer team (2014-18). Additional coaching duties included CSA Impact (2009-18), Force Sports (2009-20) and ODP Midwest Region II (2015-present). He currently serves as the director of coaching for Kronis Academy.
