In girls tennis action this past week, the varsity A team had a hard-fought match against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, but fell just short, losing 3-2.
Wins included Carly Cohen '20 (pictured on the right) on Court 1 singles (6-0, 6-0) as well as second doubles pair Maya Moufawad '21 (pictured on the left) and Isabella Martin '22 with a long, third-set victory (6-1, 5-7, 6-4).
Another highlight of the day was Court 1 doubles Hadley Hairston '21 and Claire Jablonski '21, who battled three tie-breaker sets before succumbing in the third, 10-6.
The other match of the week for the Lancers was a 4-1 loss on the road against Orange. Cohen continued her undefeated season on Court 1 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
