Track & Field: Three Meet Records Set By Lancers at the Bill Dodd Invite

Byers Field in Parma, Ohio. The Lancers captured several individual meet records. For the girls, who finished fifth in the team standings out of 12 teams, Karah Henderson '22 (pictured on the left) was first in the 100 hurdles in a meet-record time of 14.94 seconds. Katie Engle '19 (pictured in the middle) also raced to a first-place finish and meet record in the 3200 with a time of 11:46.14. The Lancers also recorded finishes in the top three by Madison Olsen '19, who was first in the 400 and third in the 200, and the 4x400 relay of Olsen, Engle, Kaleigh McNamara '22 and Henderson, who finished third. Mackenzie Palinski '21 performed well in field events with a fourth-place finish in the discus and a fifth-place finish in the shot put.


The boys finished ninth out of 14 teams. CJ Charleston '19 (pictured on the right) set a meet record when he finished first in the long jump with a distance of 22-08.25. Tim Diemer '19 also earned first place with his effort in the 800, recording a time of 2:08.85. The team's next highest finish was in the 4x400 relay in which Diemer, Alexander Beedles '22, Bryson Simpson '20 and Craig Wilson '20 finished seventh.
