Boys Prep Hockey: Lancers Take Third in MPHL; Two Named All-Stars

The boys prep hockey team recently completed league play, finishing in third place in the Midwest Prep Hockey League (MPHL). Gilmour defeated Bishop's College School in the quarterfinal game by a score of 5-3. The Lancers then lost an absolute heartbreaker in four overtime periods to eventual champion Ridley College by a score of 3-2. Gilmour went on to defeat Lake Forest Academy 4-3, in the third place game. For the weekend, the team was led offensively by Leo Bax '19 and Walter Baumann '19. Defensively, Andrew Takacs '19 led GA with strong play in the net.

The Lancers had two of its players selected to the 2018-19 MPHL All-Star Team, including Rocco Testa-Basi '20 (pictured on the left) as a forward and Colt Corpse PG (pictured on the right) on defense.
