Congratulations to the Varsity A hockey team as it earned the Gary West Tournament Championship for the second consecutive season. The Lancers went 4-1 in the event that was hosted by St. Andrews College in Ontario, Canada.

 

Gilmour was quite impressive the entire weekend, but really made onlookers take note in the championship game. After losing to King City Secondary School 3-1 in the team's third game of the tournament, the Lancers met up with them again in the finals.

 

It was an absolute battle as neither team gave up. It took a double overtime shootout to determine the victors, as Gilmour won 3-2. Evan Enrich '19 and Eamonn Mulkern '19 were named to the All-Tournament team. The Lancers improved to 21-3-2 overall and are currently the #1-ranked team in Ohio amongst Division I teams. 

 

Weekend Plans: The Lancers are at home Saturday against North Allegheny, Pa. at 1:40 p.m. before taking on rival University School on Sunday at 5 p.m. The program will honor the varsity seniors prior to the game at approximately 1:30 p.m.
