Amber Guizzotti Kruse is in her fourth season with the Gilmour Academy varsity figure skating team with the 2021-22 school year, having been with the Lancer program since it officially earned varsity status.

Guizzotti Kruse is a 17-year member of the United States Figure Skating Association and a four-year member of the Professional Skaters Association. She has been a coach with the Learn-to-Skate program for more than 14 years and has also served as a club coach at various arenas for more than 10 years, including the past six at Gilmour Academy.

Guizzotti Kruse was a collegiate National Silver Medalist in 2014, a State Games of America Silver Medalist in 2015 and a five-time State Games of America Gold Medalist in 2017 all while attending John Carroll University. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology with a minor in sociology in 2017, she went on to win three gold medals and two silver medals in the 2019 State Games of America.

The Buffalo, N.Y., native is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as well as a certified Pilates instructor. In addition to coaching at Gilmour, she is also a figure skating coach at Shaker Heights and is employed as a Pilates instructor for Club Pilates.

Guizzotti Kruse currently resides in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, with her husband, Kevin, who she married in 2019.
