- The Gilmour Academy varsity boys basketball team went 2-0 this past weekend
- The Lancers began by claiming an 88-61 victory over Beachwood High School on Senior Night
- Prior to the win, Gilmour recognized 14 individuals in an on-court ceremony, eight basketball players, one team manager and five cheerleaders
- The following Lancer basketball seniors were honored: Michael DiPuccio '22, Leo Dunlevy '22, Nathan Flaherty '22, Lucas Grover '22, JR Halloran '22, Peter Kavcic '22, Andrew Mayer '22, Ryan Mueller '22 and Nathan Nootbaar '22
- The following Lancer cheerleading seniors were honored: Riley Beiswenger '22, Meghan Bhanoo '22, Lily Elseser '22, Megan Mlinaric '22 and Kaylee Oliveto '22
- Brandon Rose '23 had a game-high 26 points in 25 minutes of action in the win over Beachwood
- Rose shot 9-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-4 from downtown, and added seven rebounds
- Mueller posted a double-double on Senior Night and was one of four Lancers in double figures
- He posted 17 points, a game-high 12 rebounds and four assists
- Adisa Molton II '23 posted 12 points, five rebounds and a game-high nine assists
- Grover finished with 12 points on four three-pointers
- Nootbaar had six points and four boards while DiPuccio notched four points and six rebounds
- Dunlevy had four points, a rebound and an assist
- Flaherty had three points and three steals while Halloran had two points
- Gilmour outscored Beachwood 28-15 in the third quarter to take full control
- The Lancers outrebounded the Bison 42-15 and had a 23-0 lead in second-chance points
- One day later, Gilmour claimed an 81-50 victory over John F. Kennedy Catholic School
- Rose led all scorers with 23 points, in 24 minutes, while adding seven rebounds
- Molton and Mueller both tallied double-doubles, albeit in contrasting styles
- Molton had 14 points and a game-high 10 assists to net his first career double-double
- Mueller notched 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds
- Flaherty hit four triples for 12 points and added four boards
- Nootbaar finished with eight points, four boards, four assists and three steals
- Gilmour led 40-25 at the half and led by double digits throughout the second half
- The Lancers had 28 assists on their 33 made field goals
- Gilmour had a 24-8 advantage in points off turnovers
- Gilmour will close its regular season this week with a pair of games
- The Lancers will host Lake Catholic High School before traveling to Walsh Jesuit High School
