The Varsity B boys hockey team split a pair of home games this past weekend, moving its record to 11-12-3 with only a handful of games remaining in the regular season.
The Lancers welcomed Olentangy Liberty to Gates Mills on Friday night. The Patriots took a second period lead, but Gilmour managed to tie the game in dramatic fashion after a Robby Belknap '21 (pictured on the left) shot from the half-wall deflected in off the skate of Kyle Laws '22 as time expired. Unfortunately, the celebration was short-lived as the Patriots were able to score the overtime winner just a little more than two minutes into the extra frame.
On Sunday, the Lancers were able to snap the losing streak, defeating visiting Holy Name 5-2. Nathan Turocy '23 (pictured on the right) scored a pair of goals during the game. Points were recorded from eight different Lancer players throughout the contest.
