The postseason journey is well underway for the Varsity A boys hockey team. The Lancers earned the top seed in the Kent State District, earning a bye in the opening round. They opened tournament play with an 8-1 win against No. 10 seed Roosevelt High School out of Kent. Eight different Lancers scored in the victory.

Gilmour then faced off with No. 12 seed Orange on Wednesday night, skating to a 10-0 win to move on to the next round. Next up for the Lancers is a showdown with crosstown rival No. 4 seed University School at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 29 at the Kent State University Ice Arena. The winner of that game advances to the district championship game on March 6.
