  • Gilmour Academy Varsity A boys hockey head coach John Malloy won his 700th career high school game this past weekend
  • Malloy continued to extend his own record for most varsity hockey victories in Ohio high school history
  • More than half of his 700 wins have come as Gilmour's Varsity A head coach
  • Malloy also previously earned wins as the head coach at Cleveland Heights High School and Rocky River High School
  • Malloy earned his 700th win when Gilmour claimed a 4-3 victory over Shaker Heights High School this past Saturday
  • The Lancer program also celebrated Senior Day in conjunction with the game against Shaker
  • The following Lancer seniors were honored prior to the game as their parents and school administrators joined to celebrate their achievements: Ian Anderson '22, Shea Hofstrom '22, Andrew Knaak '22, Kyle Laws '22, Jack Popovich '22, Aidan Priestley '22, Jimmy Robida '22, Harry Rogers '22Jakub Sedlacik '22, Connor Underwood '22 and Zach Wolfe '22.
  • Laws, Priestley and Rogers all scored on their Senior Day while Anderson earned the win in goal
  • One day earlier, Gilmour claimed a 1-0 win against Padua Franciscan High School in a Great Lakes Hockey League contest
  • Rocco Hice '22, who had also scored in the win over Shaker, scored the game's only goal against Padua
  • Evan Underwood '23 tallied the shutout in goal against the Bruins
  • With its two wins, Gilmour has now won eight games in a row and 12 of its past 13 overall
  • The Lancers have also won six straight GLHL games
  • Gilmour will close its regular season this weekend with two more GLHL contests
  • The Lancers will travel to St. Edward High School before hosting Holy Name High School
