Four Lancers Named All-League

Four members of the Gilmour Academy boys prep hockey team recently earned postseason recognition from the Midwest Prep Hockey League.

Camden Bajzer '22, Julian Beaumont '22 and Max Treppo '22 were each named MPHL First Team All-Stars in the Malloy Division. Vincent Stafford '22 garnered a Second Team All-Star selection.

Bajzer led the Lancers in goals (38) and points (89) this past season. He averaged nearly 1.5 points per game played on the campaign. Bajzer was second in the league, and led the Malloy Division, by tallying 22 total points within league play.

Beaumont finished third on the team in goals (23) and points (57) despite missing a significant chunk of the season due to injury. His 57 total points came in 44 games played. He was also among the top 10 in points in league play, posting 16 in 11 games played.

Treppo and Stafford were two of the key cogs of the Lancer defense this past season. Both also made significant offensive contributions for Gilmour. Treppo notched 32 points on the strength of seven goals and 25 assists while Stafford posted 12 goals and 30 assists for 42 points.

Stafford also received additional recognition at the tail end of the season as he earned the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.

The Hobey Baker High School Character Award was established in 2003 to honor high school hockey players who exemplify the Hobey Baker ideal that "character builds excellence." Candidates for a High School Hobey Baker Award are selected based on the following criteria: coachability, strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork, community leadership and outstanding sportsmanship. Winners receive a personalized commemorative plaque.

Bajzer, Beaumont, Treppo and Stafford helped Gilmour to its first MPHL regular-season title in program history in 2021-22. The Lancers went 11-1 in league play and won 37 games overall, the highest total for GA since the 2016-17 season.
