- The Gilmour Academy boys prep hockey team won the 2021-22 Midwest Prep Hockey League regular-season title
- It is believed to be the first regular-season championship for the Lancers in program history
- Gilmour went 11-1 in MPHL games across four league weekends of action
- The Lancers led the league in wins (11), points (22) and winning percentage (.917)
- Gilmour outscored its opponents by a combined margin of 61-29 in league games
- Camden Bajzer '22 tied for the league lead in points (20) in MPHL games
- Nathan Dowling '22 was fourth in the league (18) in the same category while Julian Beaumont '22 tied for seventh (14)
- Liam Clarke '22 was in the top 10 in the league in goals in MPHL contests (7)
- Vincent Stafford '22 (10), Hunter Fetterolf '22 (7) and Charles McMahon '23 (7) were among the top 10 leaders in assists
- Hadyn Gould '22 led the MPHL in goals against average in league play with a 1.67 mark
- Matiss Bars '22 was third in the league in the same category with a 2.55 GAA
- The MPHL Tournament is being held this weekend, Feb. 11-13, at Shady Side Academy
- The league tournament will feature seven of the league's eight teams
- As a result of its regular-season championship, Gilmour earned a first-round bye
- The Lancers will open the tournament Saturday, Feb. 12, at 11:15 a.m. against a winner from one of Friday's quarterfinal games
- The tournament championship will take place Sunday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m.
- The MPHL Tournament was not held last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Gilmour took fourth place at the event in 2020 when it was held in Buffalo, N.Y.
- The MPHL is composed of 8 academically challenging, college preparatory institutions, consisting of five schools from the United States and three from Canada
