Mack Burton is in his third season as an assistant coach with the Gilmour Academy boys prep and 16-U hockey teams for the 2021-22 school year. He is also in his third year coaching with the Lancer boys lacrosse program as an assistant with the varsity team and head coach of the junior varsity team. A recent collegiate athlete, he is able to draw upon his experiences and impart that knowledge onto Gilmour’s players.

Burton assists with the day-to-day operations of the Lancer hockey program, including practice planning, skill development, video analysis and recruiting

Burton attended Hilliard Davidson High School in Hilliard, Ohio, as well as The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, Mass., where he played goaltender in hockey and midfielder in lacrosse at both schools. He continued his hockey career at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where he was a goaltender for the Mules. He graduated from Colby with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science.

The Columbus, Ohio, native currently resides in Gates Mills, Ohio, and is employed as a residence life proctor at Gilmour Academy’s Murphy Residence Hall.
