Joey Nook has been around the Gilmour Academy hockey program since his father, Joe Nook III, was an assistant coach of the boys prep team in 2014.

Joey is a vibrant personality that loves being around the teams and is always excited to interact with all of the coaches, players, and ice arena staff. His infectious excitement and enthusiasm are incredibly useful personality traits to have around the program. Joey has helped out with summer hockey camps as a coach and has been regularly involved with GA’s Boys Prep and Varsity A teams in recent seasons.

Joey has also conducted the opening puck drop each year at Gilmour’s Autism Speaks Skate for a Solution to Autism Awareness Game that is hosted by the Boys prep team—this special event is one of his favorite games within the program each year.
