Title: Assistant Coach - Varsity B

Andrew Shirdon is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Gilmour Academy Varsity B hockey team with the 2020-21 school year. He is also in his third year as a coach with the Gilmour Gladiators Bantam 2 team, which was the Cleveland Suburban Hockey League (CSHL) A3 playoff champion for the 2018-19 season. Prior to Gilmour, Shirdon was an assistant coach with the Wells Warriors 18U rec team (2016-18).

The Hyattsville, Md. native, attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School where he was a three-year member of the varsity golf team. He earned Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) Honorable Mention as the anchor player for match play format, helping the team to place for the first time in 20 years.

Shirdon has a bachelor’s degree in professional golf management with a minor in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He currently resides in Richmond Heights, Ohio, and is an agent with Keller Williams Real Estate. Additionally, he maintains his PGA professional status and continues to give lessons to those ranging in ages from 8-18. He originally came to Ohio to work at the Shaker Heights Country Club as the first assistant golf professional.
