Jamie Kazel is in his third season as a coach with the Gilmour Academy girls and boys tennis programs with the 2018-19 academic year, serving as the head coach of the boys junior varsity team and head coach of the girls Varsity B team. Although it may be early on in his Lancer tennis coaching career, he has been a part of Gilmour Academy for more than a decade. Kazel is amidst his 19^th year as a guidance counselor for the school. He previously served as the head coach for the boys lacrosse program for seven years and the head coach of the girls lacrosse program for two years.

Kazel is a graduate of the University of Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. While pursuing his undergrad, he was the team manager for the NCAA Division II men’s tennis program. He went on to earn a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from John Carroll University.

He and his wife of 15 years, Regan, who is the assistant principal at Gesu School, reside in Munson Township with their black Lab named Buckeye and newest member to the family, James Joseph Kazel III.
