David Seibert is in his 12th season as the head coach of the Gilmour Academy Middle School cross country team and his 28th year as history teacher at the Upper School with the 2020-21 academic year.  He previously served as an assistant coach of the varsity boys hockey team for two seasons (1997-98; 1999-2000).  Seibert has been a coach with the Gilmour Youth Hockey Association, working with the Mite, Squirt and Pee Wee levels since 2003, earning a Cleveland Suburban Hockey League regular season championship during the 2009-10 season.

Seibert played varsity hockey at Cranbrook School in his hometown of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.  He continued his playing career at Denison University where he was a member of the club hockey team.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Denison before earning a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a doctorate from the University of California, Riverside.

Seibert currently resides in Twinsburg, Ohio, with his wife of 31 years, Narorn, and their son Ryan ’15, who is planning a career in law.
