Two games have been played so far and there are two wins in the books for the Middle School softball team. The Lancers opened the season with a 16-0 shutout of Euclid Central Middle School. Clare Peterson '23 (pictured on the left) led the team with her stellar pitching performance. Chiara Bilant '23 (pictured on the right) played outstanding at catcher. Great infield performances came from Abbie Edmondson '23 at first base, Lauren Kish '23 at shortstop and Annamarie Wiandt '25 at third base. At the plate. Kenzie Coyne '24 led the offense with three hits as Edmondson hit a home run. Then in an 11-1 win against Shaker, Peterson struck out nine to earn the victory. At the plate, she had a double and a triple. Bilant hit two home runs and Edmondson had a number of strong defensive plays at first.
