Naz Hillmon '18, a standout on the Lancer girls basketball team during her high school career, was named the Big Ten Conference Player of the Year earlier this week.

A junior on the University of Michigan women's basketball team, Hillmon was the first Wolverine ever to claim this honor. She is also just the second player in Big Ten history to earn Freshman, Sixth Player and Player of the Year honors in a career.

Hillmon was a two-time Associated Press Ohio Division II Player of the Year while at Gilmour. She led the Lancers to the 2017 state championship and graduated as the program's all-time leading scorer and rebounder.
