  • The Gilmour Academy varsity girls basketball team claimed a 53-35 victory over Tuslaw High School this past weekend
  • The game was part of the 19th annual Classic in the Country Challenge, a prestigious three-day showcase event featuring 25 games at Hiland High School in Berlin, Ohio
  • Lauryn Stover '22 earned Player of the Game accolades after leading the Lancers to victory
  • Stover finished with team highs in points (19) and assists (5) and also added five rebounds and four steals
  • Nicci Finazzo '24 notched 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals for Gilmour
  • Gilmour fell behind early as Tuslaw opened up a 15-8 lead after the first quarter
  • The Lancers outscored the Mustangs 19-9 in the second quarter to take a slim lead at the half
  • Gilmour put forth a great defensive effort in the second half, holding Tuslaw to only 11 points, including only three points in the entire fourth quarter
  • The Lancers finished the game on a 12-0 run, holding the Mustangs scoreless over the final 5:30 of the game
  • Molly Moore '23 added eight points while Angelina Lonardo '22 hit a pair of threes
  • Cooper Flowers '22 led GA with six rebounds while Grace Terranova '22 chipped in with four steals
  • Gilmour will resume action this evening, Jan. 19, at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School
  • The Lancers eked out a 41-38 victory over NDCL in the teams' first matchup this season in early December
