  • It is believed to be the first-ever victory for Gilmour's girls hockey program over the nation's No. 1 team
  • Maggie Hatch '22 put forth a heroic 54-save effort in goal and earned the team's Hard Hat Award
  • Alaina Giampietro '22 and Emma Pickering '23 each scored in the victory
  • Isabel Goolie '23 and Allie Carson each tallied an assist with Goolie making a skilled, behind-the-back feed leading directly to Pickering's goal
  • Gilmour had previously claimed a pair of comfortable victories at Team Illinois on Saturday afternoon
  • The Lancers won the opening game 5-1 and then cruised to a 10-1 win in the nightcap
  • Giampietro had a hat trick in the 5-1 win while Maggie Dean '22 scored once
  • Ella Johnson '25 also scored in the first game Saturday and earned the Hard Hat Award
  • Alayna Toole '22 scored twice in the second win over Team Illinois and earned the Hard Hat Award
  • Giampietro and Pickering both scored twice while Alexandra Brandt '22, Sophie Healey '23, Johnson and Cailin Schwarzer '22 each added a goal
  • Maddie Gorski '24 earned her first-ever point for the girls prep team with an assist on Johnson's goal
  • Gilmour improved to 36-12-1 overall this season with their three wins to start 2022
  • The Lancers will compete in NAPHA league play this weekend at Northwood School in Lake Placid, N.Y.
