Laura Lucchesi is in her third season as a coach with the Gilmour Academy girls lacrosse program, serving as the head junior varsity coach, as well as a varsity assistant, with the 2022 season.

Prior to arriving at Gilmour, she was an assistant coach for two years at West Genesee Middle School in Syracuse, N.Y., in which time the girls team went undefeated both seasons.

As a player, she was a four-year letterwinner in girls lacrosse at West Genesee Senior High School, playing midfield and defense. She was second-team all-league as a junior and first-team all-league as a senior. She continued her athletic career at NCAA Division I Marist College as a defender. She earned All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Second-Team accolades on defense during her junior and senior seasons, in addition to being named to the 2013 All-MAAC Tournament Team. She was a four-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection.

Lucchesi holds a Master of Science in kinesiology and a Bachelor of Science in nursing. The Syracuse, N.Y., native currently resides in Lakewood, Ohio, and is a registered nurse and tobacco treatment specialist at University Hospitals Medical Center.
