- The Gilmour Academy boys and girls swimming teams both defeated Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School on Senior Day this past week
- The boys claimed a 102-50 victory while the girls came out on top 118-51
- Prior to their wins, the Lancer programs recognized their four seniors with a ceremony on the pool deck
- The following Lancer seniors were honored as their parents and school administrators joined to celebrate their achievements: Victoria Dulzer '22, Alexander Figurella '22, Kylee Radigan '22 and Annie Solomon '22
- Gilmour's girls team won 10 of the 11 events contested
- Radigan had a Senior Day to remember as she contributed to four first-place finishes
- She won both the 50 freestyle in 26.10 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:03.40
- Gianna Minotas '25, Radigan, Laina Collis '24 and Madeline Sammut '24 swam on the winning 200 medley relay (1:59.09)
- The same four swimmers, in a different order, finished first in the 200 freestyle relay (1:48.70)
- Sammut also won a pair of individual events, taking first in the 200 freestyle (2:06.31) and the 100 butterfly (1:06.17)
- Minotas won the 100 freestyle in 59.03 seconds while Collis finished first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.51
- Anna Johannessen '25 won the 200 IM in 2:27.07 and also swam on a winning relay
- Carys O'Haimhirgin '25, Elena Hayek '23, Stacy Barresi '24 and Johannessen won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:17.93
- Dulzer took third place in the 100 breaststroke (1:32.31) on her Senior Day
- On the boys side, Figurella also had a highly successful Senior Day
- He won the 500 freestyle in 5:21.57 and also swam on two winning relays
- Andrew Lewis '23, Figurella, John Stack '23 and Deaglan Bryant '23 won both the 200 freestyle relay (1:39.23) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:44.60)
- Lewis also won two individual events, giving him four total first-place finishes
- He finished first in the 100 butterfly in 59.93 seconds before winning the backstroke in 55.74 seconds
- Ian Colleran '24 won the 100 breaststroke (1:13.67) and also swam on a winning relay
- Liam Flynn '25, Colleran, AJ Panzica '25 and Lane Levengood '23 won the 200 medley relay in 2:02.60
