The first 10 days of December have been a great time of recognition for the Lancer girls tennis program as the News-Herald All Stars were announced along with the Cleveland Jewish News Honors. Carly Cohen '20 took home top honors for the Lancers, earning accolades with both media outlets. She was named the News-Herald Girls Tennis Player of the Year and was also recognized as a top fall sports athlete among the CJN coverage area. She was also named a Cleveland Jewish News Player of the Week earlier in the season. Additional Lancers recognized included News-Herald All Star Honorable Mention picks Ava Moe '22, Isabella Martin '22, Hadley Hairston '21 and Claire Jablonski '21.

"Carly was the best player in the area this year and always played with great confidence," said Lancer head coach Cyndi Smith. "She was as gracious in her victories as she was in her two losses for the entire season. Her record of 27-2, with the one loss being in the state finals 6-4, 7-5, speaks for itself. All of her accolades are well-deserved and her dreams of playing at a top-notch NCAA Division I college have come true."

Cohen signed a National Letter of Intent in November to continue her academics and tennis career at the University of Richmond.
