The varsity volleyball team finished out the regular season with a trio of matches this past week. The Lancers began by hosting conference foe Villa Angela-St. Joseph. The match was designated as Senior Night, so the gym was packed with fans to celebrate Katelyn Hanchin '20, who did well in her starting defensive specialist role. Gilmour won 3-0 and secured the North Coast League (NCL) White Division championship with a perfect record of 8-0. The energy of that night was then carried over to a road game at St. Joseph Academy later in the week. The Lancers put up a fight against the well-respected opponent, but came up short, 3-1. Gilmour turned things around two days later to finish out the regular season on a high note. Playing in front of its home crowd, Gilmour defeated Brunswick 3-0 to improve its overall record to 16-6.

At the junior varsity level, Gilmour put up tough fights against VASJ, SJA and Brunswick. While they came up short in each match, it was apparent the team had grown since the start of the season with regard to knowledge of the game and skills on the court.

At the freshman level, the Lancers finished the season with a 2-1 week with wins against VASJ and Brunswick. The team finished the season with a tremendous three-set victory against Brunswick to pull above .500 with a record of 7-6.
